Annual Denim Days

Annual Denim Day

Denim Day was sparked by a 1998 Italian Supreme Court decision that overturned a rape conviction on the grounds that the victim was wearing tight jeans. As a result of this decision each year thereafter, during the month of April, a “Denim Day” has been selected. Jeans are encouraged to be worn worldwide in support and solidarity for victims/survivors of sexual violence.
